SMITH age 54, a lifelong resident of Casco Township died Saturday, February 20, 2010 in her home after an extended illness. Bernadette was born May 6, 1955 in Mount Clemens to Edward and Virginia (Andrzejewski) Bulski. She married David Smith in Richmond on October 18, 1975. Bernie graduated from Richmond High School in 1973. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond and was the owner and operator of the Town and Country Beauty Salon in Richmond from 1976 to 2004. She was a past president of the Athletic Association at St. Augustine School and long time president of the Richmond Catholic Education Foundation for St. Augustine School. She enjoyed traveling, camping, swimming, bowling, gardening, playing cards and scrabble. She is survived by her husband, David, sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Yvonne and Nathan and Lyndsey all of Richmond, parents, Edward and Virginia Bulski of Casco, grandchildren, A.J. Lewis and Addison Smith, brother, Stanley (Kathleen) Bulski of Casco, sister, Veronica (Leo) Dupuis of Casco, brothers-in-law, Thomas Smith of Richmond and Steven Smith of Algonac and sister-in-law, Susan Sneeden of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Rachel Ann on February 7, 1980, father and mother-in-law, Arthur Smith on Nov. 30, 1985 and Elaine Smith on Feb. 20, 1999 and sister-in-law, Diane Morgan on June 4, 1999. A funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, February 24th at 10:30am in St. Augustine Church. Reverend Joseph Horn will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Wednesday from 10 to 10:30 in the church. A rosary will be recited Tuesday at 6:00pm in the funeral home.
