Name: Daisy E. Barry Shearer Date: March 7th, 1914 - November 28th, 2009 Obituary: DAISY ELANOR SHEARER age 95 of Richmond died Saturday, November 28, 2009 in Medilodge of Richmond. Mrs. Shearer was born March 7, 1914 in Lovett, Pennsylvania to the late George and Alice (Schrock) Kegg. She married Olie Barry in Detroit on February 25, 1935. Mr. Barry died in 1993. She then married Leonard Shearer in Hillman, Michigan on June 25, 2004. Mr. Shearer died in 2004. Daisy attended the First Baptist Church of Richmond and enjoyed visiting the residents at nursing homes and her neighbors and friends. She is survived by her son, John and Julianna Barry, her daughter, Linda Graham all of Colorado Springs, CO., daughter-in-law, Jeane Evans, twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by her sons, Ronald in 1979, Kenneth in 1981, siblings, Mack Kegg, Pearl Kegg and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 11:00am in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Reverend Robert Keating, pastor of First Baptist Church of Richmond will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in New Baltimore. Visiting will be Wednesday, December 2, 2009 from 3 to 8pm and Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Salvation Army.
