Czenkus Date: September 15th, 1921 - October 1st, 2009 Obituary: LORAINE MARY CZENKUS age 88 of Marysville, formerly a longtime resident of Casco died Thursday, October 1, 2009 in the Country in the City AFC Home in Algonac. Mrs. Czenkus was born September 15, 1921 in Richmond Township to the late William and Mae (Ogden) Schneider. She married Edward Czenkus in Detroit on September 30, 1939. Mr. Czenkus died December 28, 2000. Loraine graduated from Richmond High School in 1939 and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond and served on the altar sodality. She was also a member of the Blue Water Polka Boosters, Marysville American Legion Wednesday Card Club and former member of the Casco Township Planning Commission. She was an avid euchre player and enjoyed dancing, camping and traveling. She is survived by her children, Michael and Stella, Dick and Laurie, Stephen and Sherie all of Casco, Gail and Bill Kloeffler of Algonac and Barbara and Michael Lump of St. Clair, sisters, Donna Hofman and Bonnie Schneider, sisters-in-law, Aleta Schneider and Margaret Olejnik, twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kay Rivard, siblings, Glen Schneider and Sally Emerick. A funeral Mass will be said on Monday at 10:00am in St. Augustine Church. Monsignor George Browne will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Richmond.
