Matich Date: February 16th, 1954 - July 30th, 2009 Obituary: STEVEN THEODORE MATICH age 55 of Washington Township, Michigan died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 30, 2009 in Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Matich was born February 16, 1954 in Detroit to Milan and Therese (Jarocki) Matich. He graduated from Richmond High School with the Class of 1972 and attended Oakland University for two years. Steve was the owner of Matich Direct, a marketing firm in Rochester Hills. He was an avid reader and liked to play golf and sing. He is survived by his sons, Benjamin and Dominic, his former wife, Mary Ann Bucia all of Rochester Hills, his mother, Therese Mathich of Port Huron, siblings, Michael (Claire) Matich of Phoenix, Dr. Phillip (Tammy) Matich of Jeddo, Michelle Estrada of Lapeer, Lauren (Robert) Dayton of Lapeer and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Milan Matich on September 18, 1998. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 4, at 10:30am in St. Augustine Church. Visiting will be on Sunday from 5 to 8pm, Monday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Tuesday from 10 to 10:30 am in the church. There will be a scripture service on Monday evening at 6:30pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
